The security of oil supply played a central role in many major conflicts in the 20th century. As new energy technologies become widespread however, oil may play a very different role in global affairs. How have the geopolitics of oil have changed in the 21st century? How does the Biden Administration aim to balance ensuring a stable supply of oil with supporting the energy transition?
This event is part of a series under CGAI’s Virtual U.S. Speaker program, funded by the Embassy of the United States in Ottawa, Canada.
