On today's Global Exchange Podcast, we are rebroadcasting a discussion held at a CGAI event in Vancouver following the 2019 Canadian federal election. Join John Manley, Kathleen Monk, and Carole Taylor is discussion with CGAI Vice President Colin Robertson on the priorities for the next Canadian government.

Participant Biographies:

  • Colin Robertson (host): A former Canadian diplomat, Colin Robertson is Vice President of the Canadian Global Affairs Institute.
  • John Manley: a former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada. From 1993 to 2003 he was a Minister in the governments of Jean Chrétien, serving in the portfolios of Industry, Foreign Affairs and Finance, in addition to being Deputy Prime Minister. He recently retired from his position as President and CEO of the Business Council of Canada.
  • Kathleen Monk: a Principal with Earnscliffe Strategy Group. After working in journalism in Toronto, Ottawa and Washington, Kathleen served as Director of Strategic Communications for former NDP leader Jack Layton.
  • Carole Taylor: the Chancellor of Victoria University in the University of Toronto, Chancellor Emeritus of Simon Fraser University, a member of the Trilateral Commission and an Officer of the Order of Canada.
