June 7, 2019 | 11:30am- 1:30pm | The Calgary Petroleum Club, 319 5th Avenue SW, Calgary, AB
The Canadian Global Affairs Institute, in partnership with ATB Financial, is pleased to announce the first event of our three-part 2019 Calgary Luncheon Speaker Series. The luncheon series provides an opportunity for corporations, couples and individuals to participate and enjoy a topical discussion on public policy issues over a gourmet lunch at the Calgary Petroleum Club.
The first event will explore the global plastic waste crisis and how Alberta’s growing chemical industry can be a responsible environmental steward and leader. While plastics provide tremendous value to modern society, they cause dire consequences for wild life and the environment when plastic waste is mismanaged. This presentation will outline how a resource-efficient lifecycle approach can help mitigate the risk plastic waste poses to environmental sustainability.
The Canadian Global Affairs Institute is delighted to welcome Mr. Bob Masterson to speak about the global plastic waste crisis and how Alberta’s growing chemical industry can help.
