VANCOUVER – December 16, 2020 – The Canadian Global Affairs Institute (CGAI) is pleased to congratulate a member of our Board of Directors, Susannah Pierce, on her appointment as the incoming President and Country Chair of Shell Canada. Her well deserved appointment recognizes her considerable experience and expertise in the industry.

Currently, Susannah is the Director of Corporate Affairs for LNG Canada – A joint venture of Shell, Petronas, Mitsubishi, PetroChina and Kogas. Susannah joined LNG Canada in 2013 and over 6 years has been responsible for the project’s federal and provincial regulatory approvals, indigenous relations and negotiations, government relations, media relations, community consultation and communications. Her leadership underpinned LNG Canada’s Final Investment Decision in October 2018, the largest private sector investment in Canadian history. Prior to this Susannah held several high-level senior management positions with Shell and TransCanada.

In addition to her time at the CGAI, Susannah has also served on a variety of other boards including: The Vancouver Police Foundation, the BCBC Board of Governors, and the Fraser Institute.

Once again, we would like to congratulate Susannah on this well-deserved appointment and wish her well in her new role.
