Monica Gattinger is Director of the Institute for Science, Society and Policy, Full Professor at the School of Political Studies and Chair of Positive Energy at the University of Ottawa. Professor Gattinger’s research and engagement focus on the energy and arts/cultural policy sectors, exploring how to strengthen governance, public policy and regulation in the context of fast-paced innovation, technological change and markets, fundamental social and value change, and lower public trust in government, industry, science and expertise. Gattinger is a Fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute and serves on advisory boards for the Institute on Governance, the National Research Council Canada, the Nuclear Waste Management Organization, Pollution Probe and the University of Calgary. She sits on the Editorial Boards of the University of Ottawa Press and the journal Canadian Public Administration. Monica received the 2020 Clean50 Award for her thought leadership in the energy sector. She holds a Ph.D. in public policy from Carleton University.

Monica Gattinger est directrice de l'Institut de recherche sur la science, la société et la politique publique, professeure titulaire à l'École d'études politiques et présidente d’Énergie positive à l’Université d’Ottawa. La recherche et l'engagement de la professeure Gattinger se penchent sur les politiques énergétiques et artistiques / culturelles, et se concentrent sur comment renforcer la gouvernance, les politiques publiques et la réglementation dans un contexte d'innovation et de changements technologiques et économiques rapides, de transformations de valeurs sociétales et le declin de la confiance du public dans les gouvernements, l'industrie, la science et l'expertise. La docteure Gattinger est Fellow au Canadian Global Affairs Institute et membre de comités consultatifs du Conseil national de recherches Canada, de l’Institut sur la gouvernance, de Pollution Probe, de la Société de gestion des déchets nucléaires et de l’Université de Calgary. Elle siège sur les comités éditoriaux des Presses de l'Université d'Ottawa et de la revue Canadian Public Administration. Monica a été décerné le prix 2020 Clean50 pour son leadership dans le domaine de l’énergie. Elle est titulaire d'un doctorat en politiques publiques de l'Université Carleton.
