In Person: By Invitation Only
SYNOPSIS
The Canadian Global Affairs Institute would like to invite you to join us for an invite-only exclusive Chatham House Rule dinner and discussion featuring former Canadian Ambassador to Israel Vivian Bercovici. In light of Canada's current Federal election, this event will feature a discussion of how Canada's direction relates to political developments elsewhere. The dinner will focus on the trends that propelled the Alternative for Germany (AfD) to become the second largest party in the Bundestag, as well as the sources of support for Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud party in Israel.
Vivian Bercovici is an independent consultant based in Israel. She served as Canada’s Ambassador to Israel from January 2014 to June 2016. She is a regular columnist and contributor for political and social issues, including the National Post, the Jerusalem Post, the Wall Street Journal, and the Toronto Sun. She sits on the Board of NGO Monitor, and is the Founder of online digital platform State of Tel Aviv.
