Kathleen is a public policy leader with over a decade of experience in the energy transition and energy security. Her work centres around topics such as electrification, nuclear, natural gas and clean technologies. Kathleen’s expertise in multi-stakeholder coalition building and engagement brings together leaders from governments, large energy companies, regulators, financial institutions and non-profits to address pressing policy and business challenges in these areas. In her recent roles with North America’s largest urban innovation hub and a national think tank, Kathleen launched multi-sector partnerships around energy transition policy, Canada-U.S. relations, Indigenous economic reconciliation and accelerating the adoption of innovative technologies. These partnerships and initiatives span a range of geographies including across Canada, the U.S., Chile and Japan. Kathleen currently works as an independent advisor to Canada’s leading organizations on their engagement strategies and programs at the leading edge of policy conversations in Canada. This includes her role as a Senior Advisor at Global Public Affairs, Senior Advisor at the MaRS Discovery District, and Senior Advisor at Mokwateh.
