Evan H. Potter is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication at the University of Ottawa. His research and teaching focus on the communication function in public sector organizations, particularly the Canadian federal government. His work covers the use of information and communication tools in cultural diplomacy, cultural statecraft, place-branding, and national security (information warfare, foreign subversion, and propaganda). He is the founding editor of the Canadian Foreign Policy journal. He has extensive background in the Canadian federal government, notably at Global Affairs Canada.
