• Bob Rae was elected to the House of Commons in 1978 and would be elected ten more times to either the national or Ontario parliaments. He served as Ontario's 21st Premier from 1990 to 1995 and as Interim Federal Leader of the Liberal Party from 2011- 2013. He took up his appointment as Canadian ambassador to the United Nations in 2020.
