Since June 2025, Canada and the European Union have examining ways to collaborate on defence matters and jointly grow their defence industrial base. The Security and Defence Partnership and Canada's accession to the SAFE Agreement were strong milestones proving the commitment of the two allies to this closer cooperation.

Now the focus is on implementing and operationalizing these strategic directions. This half-day conference will serve to explore practical steps Canada and the European Union can take to make this new defence vision a reality.
