2023 Calgary Speaker Series - Corporate Table Registration
The Canadian Global Affairs Institute is pleased to host our four-part 2023 Calgary Speaker Series. The series provides an opportunity for corporations and individuals to participate in and enjoy topical discussions on public policy issues. This year the series will focus on trends in global energy security.

Olga Khakova is the deputy director for European energy security at the Atlantic Council's Global Energy Center, where she manages transatlantic energy initiatives. Before joining the Atlantic Council, Khakova was a senior program coordinator for US Energy Association's Energy Technology and Governance Program. She helped start and coordinate the Western Balkans' Electricity Market Initiative working group, which provides technical expertise on creating better-connected electricity markets.
Gregory Brew is a historian of oil, the Cold War, and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. He is a post-doctoral fellow at the Jackson School of Global Affairs at Yale University. His books include Petroleum and Progress in Iran: Oil, Development, and the Cold War and The Struggle for Iran: Oil, Autocracy, and the Cold War, 1951-1954, both forthcoming in 2022-2023. He has written commentary and expert analysis for Washington Post, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, TIME Magazine, National Interest, The Conversation, and War on the Rocks, and his scholarship has appeared in Phenomenal World, The International History Review, The Texas National Security Review, and Iranian Studies.
Goods & Services Offered From time to time Canadian Global Affairs Institute will offer tickets to events, papers and books for sale and seek donations to support its research and education programs. The net proceeds from these activities are used to advance the aims and objectives of the Institute. (Charity Registration #87982 7913RR0001)

Return/Refund Policy Refunds will be available up to one week in advance of the date for a particular event. Your seat is transferable up to eight (8) hours-notice prior to an event. Canadian Global Affairs Institute is pleased to offer your seat to a University of Calgary student with 24 hours-notice prior to an event. Books and research papers are non-refundable. No refunds are available on donations.
